Health & Safety Information
Community CPR covers Infant, Child & Adult CPR and covers emergency situations such as: a person who has stopped breathing, somebody who is choking and how to assess an emergency situation.
Pediatric First Aid covers emergencies involving infants and children such as: poisoning and sudden illness.
The full 15 hour course meets California's Health & Safety requirement for child care providers as mandated by AB243. The course includes Child Care First Aid, Child Care Health & Safety and Community CPR. Within six weeks you should receive three American Red Cross cards for each section of the course you successfully completed. These must be kept for licensing purposes and re-certification.

MARIN CHILD CARE COUNCIL'S
HEALTH & SAFETY REQUIREMENT
QUICK INFORMATION
* All classes will be held at the Marin Child Care Council's offices located on the first floor of 555 Northgate Drive, San Rafael, CA 94903 unless indicated otherwise. You must send the Registration Form with your course choices, address and phone number and a check made out to Marin Child Care Council to this address to be enrolled in a class. No one will be enrolled in a class without receipt of payment. You may send a check or pay cash at our offices during office hours before the date of the class.
* Please plan to arrive at the class ON TIME. There is a lot of information to cover in these classes, and, if the instructor has to stop and re-start this may not allow all the information to be covered. If you are unable to make the class at the time scheduled, please select a different class.
* No refunds will be given for any reason if a participant starts and then fails to finish the course. Refunds will only be given to paid participants if they notify our offices within one calendar week of the beginning of each class. Please make sure, before you sign up, that you will be able to attend the class on the date specified. The 15 hour class can not be broken up – you must be able to attend all portions of the class.
