Parent Voices Marin County



Parent Voices is a parent-led, parent-run grassroots organization fighting to make quality child care accessible and affordable to all families.  There are Parent Voices chapters in 18 counties across California. 

Quality, affordable, and accessible child care is essential for parents to work or pursue an education and for children to grow up healthy.  Parent Voices provides leadership and advocacy opportunities for parents to voice their unique child care needs and experiences in the policy making process.

Become a Parent Leader by:

  • Creating social change by becoming a passionate parent advocate
  • Working to identify issues, solutions, and a course of action
  • Acting with passion and resolve as an individual and through group efforts.
  • Becoming a strong, articulate parent advocate

Parent Voices Activities & Actions

STAND FOR CHILDREN DAY

 

A parent and family rally day at the Capitol.  Join hundreds of other parents and families speaking out about the importance of child care and early education.  Then meet and speak to your legislators in the State Capitol.  Fun, exciting, and FREE!  First Wednesday in May. 

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

   

A parent advocacy training day.  Learn to become a passionate parent advocate through interactive trainings on the budget process, speaking to the media and developing action strategies for your local chapter.  Late January or early February. 

MARIN ACTIONS

 

Letter writing campaigns, local rallies and retreats, meetings with local legislators and much more.
